Our 1990 Beneteau First 38s5 ‘ Monkey Business’ is a loved and well looked after performance cruiser which under our ownership has taken us safely cruising around Ireland, many trips along the North Coast of Ireland and Scotland Inner & Outer Hebrides. The previous owner cruised her in Scotland, France, Norway and Iceland.
She is a fast yacht with a strong rig, a timeless interior and many upgrades under our ownership. Monkey Business is ‘ready to rock’ for her next adventures with her next owner. Monkey Business has had continual upgrade during our ownership (further detailed below) The only reason for the sale is to upgrade to a larger yacht. She will be greatly missed
Layout:
A Phillip Strake designed interior has proved timeless, creating a bright and airy cockpit which outclasses many modern yacht interiors. Monkey Business is the owners 2 cabin layout, comprising a double fore cabin with its own head. A very comfortable saloon with a large folding table and two settee berths. Endless storage in the A commanding chart table with generous storage beneath. A 2 sink galley, featuring a top loading cool box and a 3 ring gas cook top and over. A double aft cabin to starboard and a spacious and bright heads to starboard. The cockpit features a deep locker to starboard and locker to port. Featuring a large 36inch wheel and a 2023 B&G Vulcan 9 chart plotter mounted on a Scanstrut railpod.

Accommodations
There is accommodation for six below decks in two separate cabins + Saloon. Arrangement
from forward.
Forward cabin has large double 'V' berth with good size hanging locker and en-suite Heads
with WC and wash basin.
Main Saloon has two settee berths Port and Starboard (c/w lee cloths ) with large double leaf
table midships . Excellent stowage in way full cabin length overhead locker network which is
a clever and prominent feature.
Galley is to Port side at aft end of saloon in a traditional 'L' shape configuration and consists
of Optimus Cooker with three burners and oven. Good work surface area with twin Stainless
steel sinks. Large coolbox top opening,good locker stowage below work surface and also large
area of overhead lockers.
Chart Table Nav station is to aft end of saloon on Starboard side forward facing with nav
seat. This is a very impressive design incorporating some very innovative storage
features.Instrument and distribution panel outbard of Nav area.
Aft day Heads are also aft on Starboard side with WC, Wash basin, Shower and wet locker.
Aft cabin has large under cockpit double berth with good hanging locker, cupboards and
shelving.
