1971 SHE 31. Launched 1981. Custom fit out in teak and leather. Very pretty and swift on the wind. Much upgraded some years back with Nanni 3.21hp, Garmin 750 sat nav/radar, navcom vhf radio, and new depth sounder.
Laval heads, 4 berths in addition to 4 saloon seats, charcoal stove, double sink galley.
Keel stepped alloy mast with main and genoa on roller reefing. As new Spinnaker with good quality pole.
Currently afloat east coast Republic of Ireland and registration subject to where it was berthed on brexit eve!
Out of water for paint,anodes,cutlass, keel bolt examination and minor gel coat imperfections addressed. No delamination of concern.
Draught 5' 6". Skeg hung rudder. 3 blade prop. Tiller steering having been returned from a wheel conversion.

Accommodation

4 berths plus 4 individual leather clad bucket style seats...armchairs...without the arms! And big.lockers behind all these.
Double sink beside 2 ring oven with grill. Good storage and differs from the factory offering. Opposite a generous chart table with instruments, electrical panel and battery control. 2 berths aft leading below the seating deck. Again, one needs to be nimble to slide in, but they are then generously sized and very comfortable. A drop down table for the 4 seats. Through bulkhead to a lavac toilet portside abaft the mast, and opposite a sink, storage and vanity unit.
All finishing in teak with melamine surfaces. The ceilings and house top internals are all vinyl/leather look clad and the underdeck in wooden strip. Interior of lockers are fully clad similarly..Engine box is holly/teak on ply, as is the sole.

Construction

Traditional 1970's heavy laid fibreglass construction. Bulb keel bolted to hull. Bolts all good. Masthead rig. Early lower coach roof with 5'6" internal. Custom interior fit out in solid teak and leather. Rudder is skeg hung. All in good order. Generous cockpit drains stop-cock controlled. Deck is overlaid in teak. Teak cappings, trims, and toe rail. Teak washboards.
Numerous ventilators.
Bow section has been reinforced considerably in excess of original design. By all accounts the original builder anticipated sailing into rocks as a risk..
There is also considerable storage in this area with the bunk entered via a higher than usual bulkhead. Its a double bunk with some limit to headroom but is almost 7ft in length and some 6ft wide..

Equipment

Twin battery system, garmin sat navigation 750 gps.and radar, navicom vhs with gps, older sailor radio and depth for fun, not function! Lowrance gps chartplotter with external ariel, functions but screen intermittent. Tiller pilot. 40m 8mm chain on spoon anchor in self drained bow locker. Sturdy pullpit and pushpit rails with internal guardrails on 3 stanchions per side. Cockpit spray hood on folding frame.
Potable and sea water manually pumped to twin sinks in galley. No calorifier at present.
Quality lamp units throughout. Good storage beneath all berths, along sole, behind saloon seating and behind and below galley and chart table.

Nanni 3.21. 21hp. 3.cylinder naturally aspirated. Closed loop heat exchanger cooled. 60 amp alternator. New sea water pump 2026. Fully serviced. 2500 rpm gives 6 knots at low noise and low fuel consumption

Sails & Spars

Roller reef genoa currently. 3 hank on jibs also available for reconversion to traditional.
Roller boom main sail but currently on lazy Jack's.
