Description

This 1987 Vancouver 28 is a highly capable, long keeled, cutter rigged go anywhere cruiser. Recently upgraded for a safe, open-ocean passage from Ireland to the Faroes, she features modern Raymarine electronics, including an Axiom MFD, AIS and radar. The current owner has overhauled the Yanmar 2GM20 engine, fitted new headlining and revarnished the interior, making her perfectly turn-key for her next voyage.

Accommodation

The Vancouver 28 can accommodate up to 3 people. 2 single berths in the saloon and a quarter berth. The interior features teak joinery and a teak-and-holly sole board. The saloon serves as the main living space with two single berths (over 6 feet) in length with lee cloths.
A quarter berth located near the companionway is a large single berth aft of the chart table
The galley includes a two ring gas cooker with oven and grill. A fridge is located under the navigation seat. The sink has a foot pump.
The heads compartment is located between the saloon and forepeak and is equipped with a marine toilet, wash hand basin and a wet locker.

Construction

Designed by Robert Harris, the Vancouver 28 is a blue water cruising yacht using heavy, hand-laid fibreglass (GRP). Known for robust offshore capabilities it has a fully encapsulated ballast keel and a strong deck-to-hull bond
