Description

Westerly Storm 33, “Andante” designed by Ed Dubois and built by Westerly in 1989 is a fin keeled performance cruiser.
Extensively and tastefully upgraded in recent years including, new standing rigging (2021),
new running rigging (2024), new mainsail by Sander Sails with full length battens and OWS cars on batten sliders (2022), new roller reefing Sander Sails Dacron genoa with white sunstrip (2022), new navy blue acrylic canvas stackpack with separate front section (2022), new Featherstream prop (2024), new SS fuel tank (2020), new headlining (2020), saloon and cabins revarnished (2020), Tek-Dek in cockpit (2021), soft furnishings reuphostered (2020), windows stripped down, cleaned and reassembled with new 5mm 504 bronze tinted acrylic. Hull stripped back (2022). Avon dinghy and outboard is included with boat. Also spinnaker and spinnaker pole. Andante is wintered out of the water for 6 months every year and is available for inspection on the hard at the marina.

Construction

Solid, heavy-duty hand-laid GRP hull and deck built to Lloyd's specifications. It features robust structural matrix beams for keel support and features a fin keel.
Westerly utilised a double gelcoat on both the external gelcoat and internally down to the waterline to prevent moister ingress.
Hand-laid GRP deck with core materials in specific areas for stiffness. Solid teak toe rails, grab handles and rubbing strakes for long-term durability.
